ASCII Invaders

ASCII Invaders is a neon space shooter built around a deliberately retro computer aesthetic. Battle waves of alphanumeric enemies, upgrade your ship, unleash special abilities, and face off against cosmic bosses to an energetic 16-bit soundtrack.

Defend the screen

Steer your ship through escalating waves of enemies, fire continuously, collect upgrades, switch powers as needed, and use your dash to survive heavier attacks and boss encounters.

Desktop: use A/D or the arrow keys to steer, Space to fire, E to use a power, Q to switch powers, Shift to dash, and P to pause. Mobile: slide to steer and hold Fire; touch controls appear beneath the game.
